Kinderdijk – May 7

Bridges and Windmills- Today was a cruise day with our first excursion at 4:20 PM at the Kinderdijk Windmill Heritage Park. En route we passed under a variety of interesting bridges.

Windmills- The Kinderdijk Heritage Park is a UNESCO listed site with close to 20 windmills in close proximity. The first one was built in 1630 and several others were built in the 1700s. They stopped making them out of brick because the weight of the structures caused them to sink. And they are still sinking today.

And more windmills….

Goodnight all.

How beautiful! Cute little machine, didn’t see a name? What a fun day.

    1. We looked for the name and couldn’t find it. Hmmm!
