Prior to our Rhine River Cruise we will enjoy a few days in Zurich and Basel. Following the cruise we stay extra nights in Amsterdam before flying home.
Viking Rhine River Cruise – May 1 through May 8
This year we decided to do something a little different, a Viking River Cruise. We will be traveling with good friends that we have had the opportunity to vacation with over the past 40+ years of our friendship. Some of the places we have been together include, the northeast to see the fall colors, Hilton Head, Hawaii (more than once), Williamsburg and Lake Tahoe. And of course we visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Our two families have shared the love of the San Francisco Giants. While both of us have been on cruises neither of us have done a river cruise.
We will be starting from the location where we left off in May of 2025, Zurich, Switzerland. We will spend a few days in Zurich before heading to Basel, Switzerland where we will meet up with the ship. Viking will take us up the Rhine River to Amsterdam, Netherlands. We will spend a couple of days in Amsterdam before flying back home.
