Today was our day to live in luxury! Most of our fellow travelers left the ship in the morning for tours and experiences in Speyer, Heidelberg, and Rudesheim. The four of us stayed on for a daytime cruise along the Rhine. A highlight for me was passing through the towns of Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. These towns are on the maternal family tree of our son-law, David.
It was fairly industrial along the Rhine until we got to Worms to pick up some of our travelers. The remainder of our fellow tourists will get picked up tonight in Rudesheim. This industrial part of the Rhine reminded me of the Houston ship channel with chemical plants and a coal fired power plant along the way. It was still fascinating. We played on the putting green and the shuffleboard and walked around the mini track and snapped a few pictures along the way.
